As written in the Ethical Eating Resource Guide, "organic farming is a form of agriculture that seeks to protect ecosystems and human health by conserving and improving soils, minimizing energy use, and raising animals and plants through natural means such as plant-based feeds, composting, crop rotation, use of manure as fertilizer, and careful use of water." Many of these topics are covered in other sections and this section is also more deeply covered in the Ethical Eating Resource Guide.
